Chagas-Pavilhão Vermelho
Coat of arms of the Chagas family from Morada Nova, Ceará, Brazil. The red pavilion represents faith in the Holy Spirit, along with the dove. The tree in the center represents the rubber tree, the origin of the family's wealth. The oxen represent the tradition in livestock farming, another source of wealth for the family. The shields in the upper flanks represent the two families that formed the lineage of the Chagas: the Fontes family (Blue shield with fleur-de-lis) and the Aragão family (Bicolor shield). The shape of the shield and pavilion also represent the third family that composed the Chagas from Morada Nova, the Matos family.
