Codex 243:L (Thomas II Linus Cardiel, Archbishop of Rhemuth, sometime Bishop of Dhassa; Linus Lord Cardiel of Bremagne): canting arms based on the toponym Cardiel/Cardiaque (a thistle-filled area of southeastern Bremagne*), from Latin carduus ("thistle"), cf. Spanish cardo ("thistle"), e.g. Cardiel de los Montes—another suggestion of an Iberian-like enclave in Bremagne?
