Lords of Mkheidze

Codex 133:L (Jebediah, Earl of Alcara) third son of Obadiah Lord Alcara and Thamar Lady Mkheidze. Based on the arms of Prince Chkheidze. The house of Mkheidze is an ancient Georgian noble family, known from the eighth century. In the world of the Deryni, they are presumably from the same region (to the east of Torenth?) as the Duchy of Iméreth (Imeretia) and the County of Tsérétéli, given the Georgian provenance of all three names. The Golden Fleece recalls that Colchis (Kholketi) is thought to have been the central region of what became Georgia. Vert, a golden fleece pendant from a buckled belt proper.
